Happy Easter to all of you! We have some fabulous shows and great barbecues. Two new musical acts will premiere this month for the Sunday Music Series: Bayou Ramblers, on April 19th and Oh Brother, on April 26th. Thayne Bradford and his act Bayou Ramblers, hasa cool Cajun country sound , just perfect for our shrimp boil. You won’t want to miss out. Oh Brother will be playing our second Barbecue in the Sunday Music Series a classic rock musical group with superb harmonies of all the classics thru the decades.
Sometimes your feet need to get out and dance, tap through the nite with old fashioned honky tonk tunes. Hope you can take some time to get out, listen to some tunes, and see what’s going on at the Grove.
Parties at Stovalls Grove are always memorable and fun way to get the gang altogether. Have your next party at Stovall's Grove. Whether 10 or 100, let us do the worry ( and the cleanup) for your parties, office, neighbor, impromptu reunions or just a great nite out with friends. Nothing like a spring shrimp boil to get out on a Sunday afternoon. Hold your cher amio and we get Cajun with the Bayou Ramblers. Thayne Bradford on Vocals, guitar, fidlle and squeeze box, Vince Corkery on Standup Bass, Bob Briedenbach on steel and vocals, and Scotty Hughes on drums and vocals bring that Louisiana sound to the grove. Shrimp Boil, corn, and barbecue. $10.00 plate covers barbecue and music. **Premiere show**
Sunday Barbecue and Music Series –Barbecue with Oh, Brother , April 26th, 3:00 to 7:00 PM -(Classic rock from 60’s to 90’s, acoustic, singer songwriter.)
Oh Brother entertains with classic rock from the 60’s to 90’s with strong vocal harmonies, and acoustic instrumentation. Pat Mason, on Lead vocals, John Carney, KTRS radio personality on drums and vocals, Joe Moenigmann, on guitar, bass and vocals, Jeff Moenighmann, on guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, keyboard and vocals, Dan Elze ,(yup, a cousin), on bass, sax, and vocals. Great barbecue and nice bouncing change of pace with classic rock while you chow on super delicious Stovalls barbecue. $10.00 plate covers door and music.**Premiere show**
Missouri Fiddlers and Country Music Association’s Annual Fiddler Contest - Saturday,
May 16th - Noon- Registration- Competition noon to 6:00 pm
Traditional Country Fiddle Music
A long standing proud tradition at Stovalls. Catch junior, adult, and senior competitors rosin up to compete for top honors. Barbecue plate with country sides included with admission. Proceeds benefit the Association.
The Missouri Valley Boys - Shows – Saturday, April 4th and 25th, - 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM

Missouri Valley Boys have made Stovall’s Grove the “Home of country music since 1935” featuring Traditional Country Western and Hillbilly music. Musical talents of the Missouri Valley Boys showcase Allen Cully, on vocals and bass, Terry Miller on vocals and guitar, Donny Sloan on drums, Fred Williams, lead guitar and vocals, Mark Vaccaro on fiddle and Dave Alley on pedal steel guitar . Step back into genuine country music history with classic songs made famous by Ray Price, George Jones, Ernest Tubbs, Lefty Frizell, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams. Ya’ll come.

Voted best traditional country band by Riverfront Times this year. Groove to your favorite country classics, with 70’s outlaw, and even some rockabilly, with Brian Henneman, on lead guitar, Kip Loui, on rhythm guitar, Richard Tralles on Standup Bass, Carl Pandolfi on piano, and Spencer Marquart on percussion. It’s a hoot!
Fred and the Rangers- Shows – Saturdays, April 11th and 18th 8:30 to 12:30 PM

Ooh, Baby, is this band hot! Fred and his band have been long time friends and musicians at Stovalls for 25 years! Fred and the Rangers have played Nashville and have many cds available with their fabulous country style. Fred Ermmentrout, leads the fast pace on vocals and lead guitar, with Wally McCanless, on Bass, Ron Mecey, on pedal steel, and Clay on drums. Whether you are from Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, or Missouri – a delightful evening of plenty.
Colonel Ford and the Rough Riders – Show – Friday, April 17th- 8:30-12:30 AM
(Hillbilly, Honky Tonk, and Traditional Country)
Honky Tonk music at its finest .Gary Hunt leads the band in that county western high lonesome sound. Gary Hunt, guitar, fiddle, and vocals, Dade Farrar, Standup bass, and vocals, Jay Farrar, pedal steel , Johnny Horton, guitar, and Dan Kathriner, drums and vocals. Mighty fine music and a great big howdy of country. Country music just doesn’t get any better than this.
The Roadhouse Kings, with Thayne Bradford - Friday, April 24th - 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Traditional and Classic Country, Variety, some Top Forty)
Some Mighty fine entertainment that’s sure to get your honey and boots a moving. Thayne Bradford, on fiddle , squeezebox, and vocals, John Higgins, on steel guitar and vocals, Randy Shore on Bass and vocals, Don Drewit on drums. Thayne is mighty fine musician who goes way back with the Grove. Outrageously great entertainment!

It’s Back- ya’ll come! Razzle, Dazzle with your talent at the time honored tradition of open mike at Stovalls. Various musicians gather to share their musical guitar, bass, fiddle, accordion and vocals with much impromptu harmonies, voicings, and great fun. Play, sing, or just enjoy watching the shows. All welcome. Any style related to country. Must be twenty one.
Dance Lessons - Thursdays ,April 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th - Starting at 7:00 P.M. Very robust and bustling evening at the Grove. Crazy good fun that gets everyone moving with a new level of fun, stylish moves, and great dances. Learn the latest country western dances, meet nice people, and get fit. From classic country western line dances -the boot scoot boogie, Diamond reggae, Black Velvet, Trouble, Tush Push, Electric Slide, Slap Leather, Cruisin, to country western couples dances- Stationery Cha Cha, San Antonio Stroll, Ridin’ Double, L.A Two Step, Cotton Mouth, you can learn them all. Beginner to Advanced with or without partners. Time to get slapping, and scootin. $3.00 per person. Advanced dancers should inquire about the competition teams.
