Great News, FOOD ! We are working with Big Chief Smokehouse to have appetizers, burgers, pizza and salads delivered to you at Stovall’s. Now, if you are hungry and want a quick bite, just talk with your server, and order. May take a while to get kinks out, but we are looking forward to great food to go with our music. Limited menu available, but ask if there is some favorite you are wanting.
Special holiday show is scheduled for Sunday Music Series: Ham and Beans with the Missouri Valley Boys. Good country cooking doesn’t get any more real than a nice, homemade pot of ham and beans, stirred with a boat oar. Ham and Beans tradition goes back many, many years at Stovalls- and once you try beans with a little horseradish, you’ll never eat them any other way. Whiskey Morning Band Premieres on Saturday, December 14th, sounds like an outrageously great band with a chick singer! Of course, Tuesday, December 31st New Year’s Eve, will be our annual New Years’ party with the Missouri Valley Boys. Hello. 2014! Reservations $10.00 and includes champagne toast and favors. Stovall’s Grove decorations are going up and will be ready for your Holiday festivities – Thanks to Steve for getting the wonderful lights up at the Grove, and Jimmy Elder outdoors.

New Years Eve Special Event – Tuesday, December 31st -8:00 to when the Cows come home. Celebrate the New Year at Stovall’s with all the merriment and festive tunes of the Missouri Valley Boys to make for an evening to remember. Champagne, party favors, and hats. Reservations recommended. $10.00 per person. Table reservation holders may bring in own snacks.

The Missouri Valleys Boys Band are keeping it real- real traditional country and western. Join Allen Cully, on vocals and bass, Terry Miller on vocals and guitar, Donny Sloan on drums, Fred Williams of lead guitar and vocals, Mark Vaccaro on fiddle and Pat Heller on pedal steel guitar. This band is more country than Nashville. $5.00 cover includes ham and beans.

Missouri Valley Boys have made Stovall’s Grove the “Home of country music since 1935” featuring Traditional Country Western and Hillbilly music. Ooh, Baby, is this band hot! Fred and his band have been long time friends and musicians at Stovalls for 25 years! Fred and the Rangers have played Nashville and have many cds available with their fabulous country style. Fred Ermmentrout, leads the fast pace on vocals and lead guitar, with Wally McCanless, on Bass, Ron Mecey, on pedal steel, and Clay on drums. Guest appearance with original band member Thayne Bradford, on Vocals, fiddle and squeeze box. Whether you are from Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, or Missouri – a delightful evening of plenty.

Giddyup for a special night of dancing and crooning, with Ken Schmitt, on guitar and vocals, Bill Highley on Mandolin, and vocals, Ron Schmidt on vocals, Terry Donnelly, on lead guitar and vocals, Joe Smith, on Doghouse Bass and Banjo, and Joseph Ecklecamp on keyboard. Not a thing missing and 100% genuine country.

Whiskey Morning is a country band with a classic country sound, killer harmonies and good, old -fashioned twang. Suzy Bacino, on guitar and vocals, Dave Hinson, guitar and vocals, Ross Bell, guitar, bass and vocals, Bob Briedenbach on pedal steel, (Scott Engel and Bob Lawder – may play, but unknown status as of this newsletter/listing) Former members from some of St. Louis’ top bands including, Ralph Butler, Fantasy, Smash Band, Twains, Fluid Drive, uniting to bounce the house with a fresh country sound.

These merry musicmen will dazzle and delight for a memorable evening of some of the best music in the Grove- the guys can do it all.

Honky Tonk music at its finest .Gary Hunt leads the band in that county western high lonesome sound. Gary Hunt, guitar, fiddle, and vocals, Justin Branum, master fiddler, Dade Farrar, Standup bass, and vocals, Jay Farrar, pedal steel , Johnny Horton, guitar, and Dan Kathriner, drums and vocals. It’s Back- ya’ll come! Razzle, Dazzle with your talent at the time honored tradition of open mike at Stovalls. Various musicians gather to share their musical guitar, bass, fiddle, accordion and vocals with much impromptu harmonies, voicings, and great fun. Play, sing, or just enjoy watching the shows. All welcome. Any style related to country. Must be twenty one.
Dance Lessons with Stephanie-Thursdays – December 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th- Starting at 7:00 P.M.
Very robust and bustling evening at the Grove. Stephanie, our instructor, gets the dancers moving with a new level of fun, stylish moves, and great dances. Learn the latest country western dances, meet nice people, and get fit. From classic country western line dances -the boot scoot boogie, Diamond reggae, Black Velvet, Trouble, Tush Push, Electric Slide, Slap Leather, Cruisin, to country western couples dances- Stationery Cha Cha, San Antonio Stroll, Ridin’ Double, L.A Two Step, Cotton Mouth, you can learn them all. Beginner to Advanced with or without partners. Time to get slapping, and scootin. $3.00 per person. Advanced dancers should inquire about the competition teams.
