Happy Birthday America- God bless our beautiful country! Happy Independence Day- we’re the land of the free because of the brave. And, then, Happiest of Labor Day to all. For our mid and late summer holidays of Wednesday, July 4th and Monday , September 3rd, we will be closed to go fishing, pick guitar, swim and eat ice cream.
Hope everyone is enjoying our Missouri lakes, streams, and rivers with floats, boating, picnics, fishing, and backyard barbecues. Good to know that some things never change. Stovall’s is a great place to get an old fashioned dose of summer: live country and western music, dancing, conversation, libation, ice cold beer, barbecue and a campfire under the stars – everything great in America. Where else can you have an authentic old fashioned honky tonk, where the beer is cold, and the music is hot?! Absolutely delightful West County Classic !
Upcoming special events: Old Time St. Patrick Rock Church picnic with the Missouri Valley Boys on Sunday, August 19th starting at noon. Come on out for country western music, dancing, games, and the best fried chicken or beef dinners. The City of Wildwood Founder Day Picnic Barbecue will be Sunday, August 26th, with the Roadhouse Kings, $15.00 Barbecue plate, all our welcome , food and music- 3:00 to 7:00, doors open at 2:00 pm.
We are proud to premiere The Widowmakers featuring Brian Capps and Cliff Boone, on August 18th! These experienced entertainer will be a delightful treat for one and all.
Our next Sunday Music Series will be on Sunday, July 15th with the Roadhouse Kings, August 12th with Diesel Island, and September 9th, with Mark Moebeck and Friends. Gonna have some mighty fine Barbecue, lavishly fussed over by Pit Master Bill Lockwood and his talented corp of grilling caballeros. Best deal anywhere period.
If you are planning a get together with the neighbors, family reunion, sis’ birthday, or a barbecue, forget sweatin’ bugs or worries of rain - Just have it here! Voted best traditional country band by Riverfront Times this year. It’s Back- ya’ll come! Razzle, Dazzle with your talent at the time honored tradition of open mike at Stovalls. Greg Hart and Steve Hollander rope in talented players from around the area, and keeps ‘em in line. Various musicians gather to share their musical guitar, bass, fiddle, accordion and vocals with much impromptu harmonies, voicings, and great fun. Play, sing, or just enjoy watching the shows. Very robust and bustling evening at the Grove with Claudia. Crazy good fun that gets everyone moving with a new level of fun, stylish moves, and great dances. Learn the latest country western dances, meet nice people, and get fit. From classic country western line dances -the boot scoot boogie, Diamond reggae, Black Velvet, Trouble, Tush Push, Electric Slide, Slap Leather, Cruisin, to country western couples dances- Stationery Cha Cha, San Antonio Stroll, Ridin’ Double, L.A Two Step, Cotton Mouth, you can learn them all. Beginner to Advanced with or without partners. Time to get slapping, and scootin. $3.00 per person.
