God bless our beautiful country! Stovall’s is a great place to get an old fashioned dose  everything great in America - live country and western music, dancing, good people, conversation, libation, ice cold beer, barbecue and a campfire under the stars
 
Finally, Spring is on its way. Stovalls is a treasure of a throwback from years ago and simpler times. Be encouraged by warmer weather, beautiful blooms, birdsong, brilliant sunshine and come on down to the Grove.  Enjoy watching gracious dancers glide amongst the crowd with poise and courtesy, dancing to Country and Western Music. Perfect example of the kinder cooperative spirit of your fellow neighbors. What a blessing to have Missouri and her glorious natural fanfare. A mighty fine season of fun, dancing, food and tunes is on its way.
 
Our Sunday Music Series with barbecues have returned for the year -it’s the best deal in town for honest to goodness great barbecue and Music.  The smoker and Bill Lockwood’s talented crew are ready to create all that delicious grilled meat.  Make a party out of Sunday. The Sunday Music Series Barbecue on May 18th will have a return of Hot Damn Duo, on June 29th features house favorite Serapis, and on July 27th another great band Hill Williams.
 
Back from Marco Island, the delightful Hot Damn Duo returns to Stovalls on Saturday, May 17th from 7:30 to 11:30 PM, and a Sunday Barbecue show on May 18th 3:00 – 7:00 PM.  Norm and Debbie Pelletier play engaging tunes in an excellent and  diverse curation of great country western music. 
 
Happy Memorial and Independence Day- we’re the land of the free because of the brave.  We’ll be closed  Monday, May 26th and Friday, July 4th.  Have a safe and wonderful holiday.
 
Stovall is the perfect venue for your next gathering of friends, family, and neighbors. We take care of the cleaning and you get ready for relaxing fun, dancing, yakking with guests, kinfolk, classmates, special reunions or last minute nights out. Stovalls will make any event memorable. Private parties available Weekdays and nights Sunday thru Tuesday. Tell us your budget and we will make the arrangements.
 
Beginners and Couples Dance Lessons, alternating on  Wednesday starting at 7:00 PM are a big hit. That’s in addition to Thrusday Night Dance lessons. For all those cowboys and gals who want to learn country dance steps, here’s a beginner level entry to the invigorating world of line dancing, or  couples dancing. Enjoy the camaraderie of new friends and steps found in country western dancing. Git ya some leather soled boots and start kicking your heels up. Always nice to see so many fresh new faces.
 
Stovalls provides the best Country Western Music shows in the Midwest. You will be on your feet dancing, singing and enjoying the sights and sounds of an authentic 1950’s honky tonk with extraordinary talent.

Stovall’s Grove the “Home of country music since 1935” featuring Traditional Country Western and Hillbilly music.  Musical talents of the Missouri Valley Boys showcase Mike Ritchey on vocals and lead guitar, Wally McCanless, on vocals and  Bass, Ron Meecey, on pedal steel, and Bobby Regot on drums. Consummate, talented professionals for many years, these players will rock the joint with their renditions of great country standards and more. Step back into genuine country music history with classic songs made famous by Ray Price, George Jones, Ernest Tubbs, Lefty Frizell, Merle Haggard, and Hank Williams.   Ya’ll come.

Colonel Ford and the Rough Riders – Show –  Saturday: July 19th - 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM
(Hillbilly, Honky Tonk, and Traditional Country)
Honky Tonk music at its finest! Gary Hunt leads the band in that county western high lonesome sound. Gary Hunt, guitar, fiddle, and vocals, Dade Farrar, Standup bass, and vocals, Jay Farrar, pedal steel, Johnny Horton, guitar, and Dan Kathriner, drums and vocals.  Mighty fine music and a great big howdy of country. Country music just doesn’t get any better than this. 
 
Corey B. Clay and the Twains – Show - Saturday –  June 21st -7:30 PM to 11:30 PM   
Outlaw Country, Classic Country, Southern rock, Original and  Americana
Straight from the heart with scuff marks,  Corey B Clay, vocals and rhythm guitar; brings the many musical legacies of the Mid west to git your boots a bucking and the house jumping with Dave Black, lead guitar; Eric Grossman, Bass; Andy Marks on Drums. Twang and teethwith Soulful ballads, waltzing harmonies and your favorites hits from Johnny Cash, Petty, Paisley, Earle, Shooter Jennings. We are in for a great night of fun
 
Diesel Island– Show – Saturdays: May 10th and July 12th  - 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM   
(Classic Traditional country, Rockabilly, 70’s outlaw country, and Variety)
Voted best traditional country band by Riverfront Times this year. Groove to your favorite country classics, with 70’s outlaw, and even some rockabilly, with Brian Henneman, on lead guitar, Kip Loui, on rhythm guitar, Richard Tralles on Standup Bass, Carl Pandolfi on piano, and Spencer Marquart on percussion. It’s a hoot!
 
High Noon - Show - Fridays: June 6th and July 5th;  Saturdays: May 26th -   7:30 PM to 11:30 PM

Tight harmonies, great guitar and awesome bass licks, pedal steel swooning, and beat bouncing drums cover hits from country, classic country, and classic rock for a stellar evening of high energy musical shows with High Noon.  Band features Jim Buckowitz on acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals; Dan Buckowitz on lead guitar; Glynelle Wells on steel guitar and vocals; Jacob Wells on drums and   Allen Cully on bass guitar and vocals, and Mark Vaccaro on Fiddle.  Come out to catch a great musical show and meet High Noon.

Wonderful lively show with flying riffs, masterful vocals and impressive fiddling featuring Neal Schenk on Bass and Vocals; Bo Chaloupek on Fiddle; Jeff Bensman on guitar and vocal and Jared Bensman on Drums. Band has it all playing your favourites from high lonesome, to rock and roll, to Classic country, to hillbilly to swing.  Dancers and listeners alike get feisty with great music here.

Pick’n and Grin’n Band – Shows – Fridays: May 9th and July 18th ; Saturdays: April 19th and June 14th   - 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM   (Country, Classic Rock, Variety)
 Dennis Schreder, on Bass and vocals, entertains with his takes on your favorite tunes, with Lonnie Nottmeier on guitar and vocals, Mike Thomason on  guitar and vocals, Patty Cook on  vocals and Kendall Hoffman on  Drums. Dance along the pumping beat and cadence of this band.

From classic country western line dances -the boot scoot boogie, Diamond reggae, Black Velvet, Trouble, Tush Push, Electric Slide, Slap Leather, Cruisin, to country western couples dances- Stationery Cha Cha, San Antonio Stroll, Ridin’ Double, L.A Two Step, Cotton Mouth, you can learn them all.  Beginner to Advanced with or without partners. Time to get  slapping, and scootin.
