Welcome to Stovalls Grove- a wonderful music and dance hall showcasing the best country and western music shows in the midwest. Our quaint honky tonk is authentic to the forties and fifties- charmingly friendly, historic and fun.
Quaint without being hoosier. A place a Lady can feel comfortable alone. We are open Wednesday through Saturday at 6:00 pm. Stovalls Grove harkens back to the days when country music took over radio waves and local dance halls.

Our focus is on Live music shows on Fridays and Saturdays, owner, Dennis Elze hand selects his talent from performers across the country. Of course, our place wouldn’t be complete without our monthly Sunday series Barbecues, Thursday dance lessons, and tradition music jam on Wednesdays. Stovalls Grove is a labor of love for the Elze Family, owners Dennis, and Liz, manager, Steve and server, Kate, carrying on the proud tradition of the Stovall Family. |

Stovalls' Dancehall and Saloon

Our dance hall/ saloon comfortably seats 150 persons around checkered cloth tables, and an oldtime wood bar, complete with mirrored back bar, and eighteen barrel backed captains chairs. Our seating surrounds our historic wooden dance floor and intimate stage, lit with multicolor LED spotlights. Although our priority is great music shows, we have a full liquor bar including select aged bourbons and whiskeys, fine wines, and popular beers.

The Grove of Stovalls Grove

Our signature outdoor patio grove adjoins the main hall, to the east with seating for 30 persons, in wrought iron action chairs, and tables under the canopy of trees, and stars. A crackling wood campfire burns most nights, offering a unique country atmosphere. Sorry, only service animals permitted. Spring, Summer and Fall are best enjoyed in the grove for picnics, parties, romantic stargazing, and playing with the campfire with your buddies. The atmosphere makes it easy to kick back and enjoy another story and/or libation.

Our talented artists are across the board, from up and coming, to professional to seasoned, each contributes to make some of the finest shows in the country.
Twelve to fifteen bands perform on a rotating basis to keep each show fresh and exciting, for the talent, dancers, listeners alike. Variety guarantees outstanding shows with diverse selection of country’s many genres and sounds. Tunes from the Country Greats include: Merle Haggard, George Jones, Lefty Friszell, Bob Wills, Bill Monroe, Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Marty Robbins, Patsy Kline, Hank Williams, Shania Twain, Ray Price, Dwight Yoakum, Buck Owens, Faron Young, Roy Clark, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Elvis, and Pokey La Farge, just to name a few. Our entertainers are selected for talent, suitability to dancing and larger groups. Musical artists are changed regularly. |

Our location provides convenient access from downtown, midtown, or west county via Highway I64-40 to Clarkson Road to Manchester, or from I-44 via Highway 109 or Fox Creek Road.
The Best Parties are held at the Grove

Stovalls Grove is the perfect venue to celebrate your next party. Weekends are a great time to bring your family and friends for an impromptu get together, birthday party, bachelor/ette party, retirement, neighborhood block, reunion or office party. Let us worry about the cleanup, you enjoy your guests.

Parties during our scheduled music shows are limited to forty guests maximum. Special packages can be arranged for parties of 20 or more. Folk love a good honky tonk. You bring your friends and family, food, and we do the rest. Entertaining has never been so easy. Whether it’s Aunt Beulah, the college kids, your sister in from California, everyone will be smiling and enjoying their visit.

Our rental fee includes bartender for a full liquor cash bar. We can accommodate your budget and catering needs, from your own party trays, to a full barbecue featuring buffet dinner service, or a third party caterer. Speak with Steve for rates.

For private and larger parties, Stovalls is available for rental on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and on evenings Sunday through Wednesday.Our indoor, air conditioned / heat facility is a preferred destination for a memorable event gatherings, weddings, dress rehearsals, showers, church groups, family barbecues, and card parties . |
We can make arrangements for entertainment, catering, hay ride, horse carriages, dance lessons, or overnight lodging with nearby Wildwood Hotel. Our ample parking can accommodate party guests’ vehicles, tour buses, and horse trailers. Whether 10 or 100, let us do the worry. Tell us your budget and we can do the rest.

The Sunday Music Series Barbecues feature great music on Sunday afternoons, with hardwood smoked barbecue meats, picnic sides and good fun held once or twice a month. Our all-star volunteer barbecue crew pampers our chickens, pork steaks, baby back and pork spare ribs, bratwurst, pork loin, hot dogs and hamburgers. Special Sunday Music Series Barbecue events include our Shrimp Boil, Trout fest, RibFest, and Chili Cookoff. Musical Guests for Sundays are selected to complement our weekend evening performances as more diverse, relaxed and intimate for listening. Fare selections change regularly. Sorry, due to popularity , no reservations on our Sunday barbecues.
